The Marlins are in sweep avoidance mode. We haven't found ourselves having to go to that mode in a while.
Chris Volstad takes the mound for the Marlins. Volstad pitched five strong innings in his last start and thus making it two decent starts in a row. Chris hasn't gone deep into a game in quite sometime, and probably won't again tonight. But he could.
Roy Oswalt is the starter of choice for the Phillies. Oswalt has fallen on rough times, for him, this season but that still the doesn't change the fact that he is an elite starter. The good news about Oswalt is that he throws everything hard and is always around the plate. Which has meant in the past that the Marlins have been able to get the bat on the ball. This will be his first start against the Marlins this season.
Ichthyomancy is set on go.
Best of Luck to You!
