The Phillies have been in town for a couple of days and are hopefully sporting brand new sunburns. Never liked the Phillies much, can you tell? The Marlins and Phillies are to open a three-game set tonight. The Phillies have been hot lately winning 8 of 10 and at one point won 7 in-a-row. They have also been hit with injuries recently to Shane Victorino, Jamie Moyer and Ryan Howard. All three are on the DL.
Let's get it started.
Sean West in on the mound for the Marlins. The big lefty will be making his first appearance for the Fish this season. Sean has been in NOLA and did a pretty good job there posting a 3.12 ERA in 11 starts. He has the stuff to stick in the Marlins rotation and hopefully, he will.
Roy Halladay is on the hill for the Phillies. The last time he pitched in Florida he threw a perfect game. But in his last two road starts he was roughed up pretty good. Halladay is an elite pitcher who will go deep into games, if you let him. The key to this game is to run up his pitch count and get him out of there.
Ichthyomancy enjoyed the off day but is now ready to go.
