The Marlins will be trying to change their fortunes at the GAB and even the series tonight.
Sean West takes the hill for the Marlins. Sean will be pitching on a lot days of rest, especially considering his last start was on Aug. 3. But he did go 5 innings in his first start for the Fish. That start wasn't anything to write home about since by the end of second inning he had given up 2 home runs. West has the tools to be good and hopefully he will be able to put it all together tonight.
Mike Leake is on tap for the Reds. Leake is a rookie who went straight from college to the majors. He has been spotty in his starts since joining the Reds and he is coming off his shortest outing in the majors. Leake throws a whole mess of pitches with his 89 mph fast ball being the most effective when he is spotting it well. His slider also has some merit.
