The Marlins stay out west and tonight they start a four-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. It is a battle of clubs that have recently changed managers.
Anibal Sanchez is on the hill for the Marlins. The D'backs are very familiar with Anibal, since this is the team he faced when he pitched a no-hitter. Sanchez pitched okay in his last start, but he can do better and hopefully will tonight.
Rodrigo Lopez is on the mound for the D'backs. This will be Lopez's first start against the Marlins. The Fish have seen him before when he was pitching relief last year for the Phillies. When he is on, he can be quite satisfactory but the good news is that the D'backs normally don't score many runs for him and they refuse to play defense when he is on the mound. Lopez does give up the long ball on occasions.
