Today is the day that Andre Dawson will be finally acknowledged as one the game's best players.
The annual Induction Ceremony will be held Sunday, July 25, at 1:30 p.m. EDT at the Clark Sports Center, located about a mile from the Museum.
---
Andre Dawson is the lone electee from this year’s Baseball Writers’ Association of America vote in January. Dawson, who will turn 56 on July 10, was named to eight All-Star teams and won eight Gold Glove Awards in the outfield during his 21-year big league career. Dawson won the 1977 National League Rookie of the Year Award with the Expos and was named the 1987 NL Most Valuable Player while with the Cubs.

The Induction Ceremony will be shown live on MLB Network, which is available in more than 50 million homes nationwide, and simulcast on SiriusXM and baseballhall.org.
If you are like me and don't get MLB Network on your cable system, here is the link to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
At this point, the simulcast link is not posted, but I'm sure it will be soon.
While you are waiting, you might as well read what Dan Van Horne had to say about Andre Dawson's days as an Expo.
This a richly deserved honor by Dawson and I'm sure it will be a moment he will never forget.
Congrats Hawk!
