The NL East leading Braves, possessors of the best record in the NL, are in town to play three against the Marlins. Sounds daunting doesn't it, however, even in lean years the Marlins always play the Braves tough. The Marlins are hoping to sweep the Braves and get back in this. Really, two of three will do nicely. But if they want to sweep them, I'm all for it.
Alex Sanabia takes the mound for the Marlins. Sanabia put together a nice start is his last outing going 5.1 innings and allowing 0 runs. It was impressive how he was able to stretch out his pitch count to last that long into the game. He will once again be on a pitch count so expected to see the bullpen at some point tonight.
Derek Lowe is the pitcher of choice for the Braves. Lowe wasn't able to get through the sixth in either of his last two starts. The good news is the sinker hasn't been sinking and home runs have happened. Hopefully that little problem will still be with him tonight.
Ichthyomancy is ready for the weekend.
Best of Luck to You!
