The Marlins are in Atlanta to take on the division-leading Braves. The Braves aren't scoring many runs here lately, but still found a way to win their last two series. Their chances of scoring many runs tonight looks pretty bleak. Atlanta has been extremely tough at home this season, but hopefully the Marlins can turn that around.
Josh Johnson is on the mound for the Marlins. JJ has been outstanding recently and shows no signs of letting up. JJ took the loss in his last start due to offense not doing anything and Mike Stanton making a great catch at the worst possible time. JJ has always done well against the Braves
Kris Medlen is the starter of choice for the Braves. Medlen has pitched pretty well since assuming the role of starter. In fact, he is 4-0 in games started this season. Medlen is a fast ball, curve, change pitcher with his change being his most effective pitch. This will be his first start against the Marlins. And oh, he is a switch hitter. Don't know why I threw that out there, but you just don't see many switch hitting pitchers.
Ichthyomancy is ready for the long weekend to start.
Best of Luck to You!
