The All-Star Break is over! Woohoo! (Is it just me, or did the last five days feel like an eternity?)
Tonight the Marlins kick off the unofficial "second half" of the season at home, opening a three-game series with the Washington Nationals. Because Josh Johnson tossed two innings in the All-Star Game, it's Ricky Nolasco who will have the ball for the Fish. Ricky has been his usual second-half self of late, and hopefully he can keep it up tonight against the Nats.
The real story tonight is of course the much-lauded rookie pitcher Sephen Strasburg, who will make the start for Washington. Word on the street (Twitter = the street) is that a larger-than-usual crowd has formed at Sun Life Stadium, where people are tail-gating and standing in line for tickets. Hopefully, everyone hoping to catch a glimpse of Strasburg's greatness will be sorely disappointed tonight.
