The Marlins are looking to build on last night's victory by making it two in a row and thus securing a series win.
Nate Robertson is on the mound for the Marlins. Nate is coming off his worst start of the season when he only pitched 2.1 innings while allowing five earned runs. A Robertson start is anyone's guess on how he will do, but chances are this: even if he brings his A game he probably won't last longer than six innings. Nate has had some success against the Mets this season.
The Mets are going with Hisanori Takahashi. This is interesting, when he last started against the Marlins on June 6 in his outing leading into the June 6 start he only went 4 innings, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits. The Marlins rocked him for 5 runs in the 5.1 innings he pitched. Okay, now to today, in Takahashi's last start leading into today's game he only went 4 innings, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits. Let's hope history keeps repeating.
