I'm back from my whrilwind tour of South Florida. A special thanks goes out to GameFish, LadyFish and Spud who were very generous and kind during my stay. It was a ton of fun seeing them again, or at least, I had fun. If you ever get a chance to go to a game with the three, don't pass it by. Now, onto the game. The Marlins are in Baltimore to play a three-game set against the Orioles.
Anibal Sanchez is on the mound for the Marlins. In Anibal's last start he went six innings and only gave up 1 ER. But a couple of errors along the way brought the total number of runs to 3. It was one of those games where the offense didn't feel the need to score and the bullpen felt the need to suck.
Jeremy Guthrie is on the hill for the Orioles. Guthrie has lost his last four decisions though he didn't pitch badly in any of them. It was just that the Orioles gave him next to no run support. Guthrie is basically a fast ball, slider, change pitcher with the fast ball (around 92 mph) being his most effective pitch. He is prone to giving up home runs.
