The Fish are in sweep avoidance mode tonight, and that is never a good place to be (although it's definitely a better place to be than sweep acceptance mode, so there's that).
Ricky Nolasco will have the ball for Florida, and will be trying to bounce back after his shortest outing of the season in which he gave up five runs in 2.1 innings against the Rays. Ricky has never faced the Rangers.
Dustin Nippert will take the mound for an injured Rich Harden. Nippert has made 22 appearances out of the bullpen this season, posting a 4.60 ERA. If the Marlins want to have any chance to avoid the sweep, the bats are going to need to come alive. The Fish have managed just seven hits so far in the series.
Ichthyomancy wants a win, boys. Badly.
Good luck!
