The Marlins are going try this winning the second game of the series thing again. I love how the preview box is all confused about the weather. It seems that playing indoors presents a conundrum.
Chris Volstad takes the mound for the Marlins. Volstad who has gotten next to no run support in his outings finally did in his last one and he threw a clunker. I guess he was very confused. Volstad has made three starts this season during the day and frankly, they haven't gone well. Chris' ERA, hey you have to use something, during the day is 7.71 as opposed to his night ERA of 3.54. May I suggest wearing some shades. Just a thought.
Jeff Niemann is on the hill for the Rays. Niemann has arguably been the Rays best pitcher so far this season. Jeff has yet to be saddled with a loss this season but that can't last forever. He is an enigma to me since for his career he pitches better in day games than those during the night. Which makes him the only person I have ever known that went to Rice that is a creature of the day.
Ichthyomancy is really wants to start a new winning streak.
