The Diamondbacks come to town for a nifty two-game set. At present the D'backs are in a bit of a funk, losing eight of their last nine games, and will hopefully remain that way for the next two games. Speaking of two-game sets, when this one is over the Marlins will head to St. Louis for two. Then on to Chicago to play three against the White Sox. Be forewarned, the Marlins are playing a bunch of day games, four to be exact, in the next seven days. Who made this schedule?
Chris Volstad takes the mound for the Marlins. Chris wasn't really awful in his last start, but had trouble locating the strike zone which turned into matching a career high for walks, four. Hopefully Volstad will have it more on track tonight.
Edwin Jackson, the bane of my fantasy league pitching staff, is on the hill for the Diamondbacks. Frankly, he hasn't been good this season, but is showing some signs of turning it around. Or at least the D'backs hope that he is. He has never had much luck against the Marlins in the past and I see no need to change that now.
Ichthyomancy is ready to do it again.
Best of Luck to You!
