|2010 - Chris Volstad||1-2||5.79||1.33||9||9|
|2010 - Craig Stammen||1-0||6.75||1.36||9||2|
The Marlins have dropped yet another game one, and are looking to even the series tonight against the Nationals. It is time to stop this losing streak which stands at three games.
The Marlins turn to Chris Volstad to right the ship. Volstad has been a little spotty so far this season but if he can get his sinker ball to work that should pay dividends. Of course that is assuming the defense doesn't plan on booting balls into center or throwing them into the stands.
Craig Stammen is on the hill for the Nationals. Despite possessing a great first name*, Stammen style of pitching is a bit troublesome for the Marlins. He is somewhat of a soft-tosser. His fastball is at best 90 mph and he doesn't use it all that much for a starter. From there everything gets slower. The Marlins have hit him in the past and hopefully will continue to do so.
Ichthyomancy is ready to bust the streak.
Best of Luck to You!
