Marlins roster set

The Marlins Opening Day roster is set, well, sort of.

The Marlins roster includes 13 position players and 12 pitchers.

The position players are: Ronny Paulino, John Baker, Gaby Sanchez, Dan Uggla, Jorge Cantu, Hanley Ramirez, Chris Coghlan, Cameron Maybin, Ross, Wes Helms, Emilio Bonifacio, Barden and Lamb.

The pitchers are: Josh Johnson, Ricky Nolasco, Anibal Sanchez, Chris Volstad, Nate Robertson, Leo Nunez, Veras, Wood, Burke Badenhop, Clay Hensley, Renyel Pinto and Dan Meyer.

Cody Ross is still a bit iffy at this point.  He seems to be progressing nicely but it is questionable whether he will be good to go on Monday.  If he isn't, and I hope he doesn't rush back too soon, and I don't think he will since he understands the team plays 162 games.  He should be back soon.  If Cody needs another day or two or three, Cousins will be called up to take his spot.  From my understanding Cousins traveled with the team to N.Y.

The 13 position players and 12 pitchers configuration won't last long, expect the Marlins to carry 13 pitchers for most all of the season.  That is just the way we roll.
