Longtime loyalties changed once Cody Ross joined the San Francisco Giants. But he has a very good reason.
The address on my driver's license is Fort Worth. My ring is Aggie. And I love the Nolan.
But that's me and my family riding the San Francisco Giants bandwagon through Rangers country.
I can tell you exactly when we turned black-and-orange: Aug. 22, 2010.

That instantly made me a Giants fan. Dropped the Marlins like last week's tuna.
I lived in Ft. Worth for a fair amount of time and graduated high school from there, but I will never, ever, drop the Marlins.
But this isn't about me.
It goes on.
Cody is, if I may brag for a moment, a member of the family. Not blood-related but marriage-related. My stepmother is Cody's aunt.
While the above Ranger fan faces no quandary--Cody is, after all, family--I do. I like the Rangers and I am always happy when they do well and normally would be for them. But we are talking Cody here.
Truthfully, I just want Cody, Cantu and Treanor to do well and then let the chips fall where they may. It should be a good series.
