The World Series gets underway tonight and it may prove to be an interesting battle. If you go by what our fellow FishStripers think, the Rangers will win the series in six games. We will see if that is true.
Game One: Rangers (Lee) at Giants (Lincecum), 7:57 p.m.
I have no idea why MLB is starting this game at 4:57 p.m. on the West Coast. It is not like the East Coast will be sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the game to start. This is a series between the most populous state, California and the second most populous state, Texas. The Rangers play in the AL West and their fans are used to games on the West Coast. If I were in charge, the game times would be adjusted to represent that. Like I have said before, I don't know anything about getting TV ratings, but starting the game when most of the fans of the two teams are stuck in traffic isn't the brightest idea.
Ichthyomancy is ready for the Fall Classic and theoretically this one will be snow-less.
Best of Luck to You!
