The Marlins really, really need to find a way to win in Cincinnati.
Rick VandenHurk gets call for the Marlins. Hurk returns to the mound for first time since he experienced back/side pain. When healthy VandenHurk is a serviceable starter normal going at five and keeping the team in the game.
Homer Bailey is on tap for the Reds. Bailey is pitching well of late but getting very little help from his friends. He is a hard throwing righty who uses a below average slider as his second pitch. Soon as I say that he will throw the best slider the game has ever seen.
A couple of things of note for the game tonight, courtesy of Diana and Amy from FSFL/ Sun Sports: First:
FOX Sports Florida and FOX Sports Ohio will swap color analysts during the third inning of the Marlins @ Reds HD telecast on Friday, September 18.
Tommy Hutton will join George Grande in FOX Sports Ohio’s TV booth and Chris Welch will pair up with Rich Waltz in FOX Sports Florida’s broadcast booth for added perspective.
Inside the Marlins: Where Are They Now? premieres on FOX Sports Florida Friday, September 18 at 10 p.m. immediately following the Marlins at Cincinnati Reds telecast.
I will make a bet right now that the game doesn't end by 10 p.m.
Ichthyomancy is living for the weekend. Not to mention a long winning streak.
Best of Luck to You!
