Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Cardinals (9/16)

The Marlins are going for the series win today. I have ever mentioned how much I hate midweek day games?

Josh Johnson takes the hill for the Marlins. Johnson in his last two starts has been limited to under 90 pitches. In both of the starts the final results have been pretty good but his command as been a bit off. He has been walking more batters than usual but has worked around it. The thing is, if he is on and the brain trust in the dugout sticks to the 90 pitch limit, it shouldn't be a big deal because complete game have been thrown on less.

Joel Pineiro trots out to the mound for the Cardinals. He does an excellent job of spotting his 89 mph fast ball and his curve is nothing to sneeze at. He has already thrown 190.2 innings this season and must be getting a bit tired. Or at least I hope he is. Like most baseball guys he is a creature of the night and his stats during the day aren't quite as good.

Ichtyhomancy isn't a fan of get away games. I mean, really, how long does it take to fly to Cincinnati?
