Cody Ross day-to-day

In case you didn't see the game, and I must admit I missed most of it, Cody Ross suffered a lower back strain.

Right-fielder Cody Ross left tonight’s game in the seventh inning because of tightness in his back.

Ross said it isn’t serious and he expects to return Friday. He said he felt a twinge while batting in the sixth inning. The Marlins scored six runs in that inning, so with the game in hand he left as a precaution.

Backs are funny, sometimes, like all complex muscles, they hurt worse the second day than the first.

We will see, but hopefully it is nothing.

If you were planning on going out to see Cody and get his autograph on Saturday, he will still probably show up.

As Sarah Talalay reports:

...on Saturday, you can meet outfielder Cody Ross.

Ross will be signing autographs – for free, one item per customer – at the "Grand Re-opening" of Dunkin’ Donuts at 1146 N. University Drive, Coral Springs. The store is at the northwest corner of University and Ramblewood drives, just behind Burger King.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Ross appearing from 11 a.m. to noon.

Let's face it, Cody is tougher than nails. I mean c'mon the guy was once a rodeo clown.  He will fight through any discomfort in order to please the crowd.
