Whoops, forgot to recap last night's game. Which in my defense is understandable since if you weren't getting rained on in JRS, you didn't see it. Or at least, I don't think you did.
Anyways, Miller was perfect through four innings on only 33 pitches. (Yes, you read that right.) However, baseball games last more than four innings and in the fifth the perfecto was over when he gave up two runs and the Giants tied the score. Fortunately, for the young Mr. Miller, his teammates recaptured the lead by scoring three in the bottom of the inning. Andrew's sixth inning was not a thing of beauty, giving up a couple of hits and a walk to load the bases, so Fredi made the only decision a rational man would make at a time like this, call for the Hopper. Problem solved.
Everything was going nicely until Lindstrom relieved the Hopper in order to close out the game. (that is his job title after all.) But after some work he loaded the bases bringing the go-ahead run to the plate. So out with Lindstrom and enter Nunez. Leo immediately gave up a hit to allow two inherited runners to score cutting the Marlins lead to one. But he quickly got his bearings and struck out what would be the Giants final batter for a Marlins win.
That is my story and I'm sticking to it.
