It really wasn't the best of night's, the Marlins looked a bit out of synch. Between the walks and wild pitches, all at the exact wrong time by the pitchers, and the hitters, who for the most part couldn't come up with a timely hit even though they were given several opportunities. Sure the game remained close throughout and was tied to start the eighth but still it never looked right or felt right. Maybe that was due in part to the Rays pitchers or maybe the Marlins pitchers couldn't get the feel of the Tropicana mound, who knows.
But whatever the case, the game was uninspiring and should be one that will be, and needs to be, easily forgotten.
