The Yankees are in town! Oh, be still my heart. Hopefully we will get to hear delightful stories about how well their fans know their team and how we can't even spell Marlins. Also a walk through Yankees history would be much appreciated since we normally can only catch that on ESPN every night of the season.
If you go to one of the games in the three-game series, you will be surrounded by Yankee fans. Not a pretty picture. But my favorite quote came from Cody.
"When you have a nice crowd in that kind of atmosphere in Miami, it makes it that much more fun to play, especially with the Yankees coming,'' outfielder Cody Ross said.
Uh, Cody, you do realize that almost none of that "nice crowd" will be rooting for you?
West wasn't as sharp in his last outing but still pitched well enough to get the win.
Yikes! Look at the time.
Pettitte is lefty and hasn't been going very deep into his starts of late.
Ichthyomancy is glad to be back home, even if it means playing host to some unwanted house guest.
