The Marlins announced their organizational awards for April, and Ben Lasater of Class A Greensboro and Jarrett Santos of Double-A Jacksonville were named Player and Pitcher of the Month, respectively. In 20 games with the Grasshoppers, Lasater, a corner outfielder, batted .410 (32-for-78) with 13 doubles and five home runs. Santos, a right-hander, didn't allow an earned run in eight April appearances, giving up three hits and walking three while striking out 14 over 20 innings.
