Scott Proctor's doctor report

In case you didn't know, the Marlins sent Scott  Proctor to be once again be examined by the team's doctor.  The report was favorable.

Right-hand reliever Scott Proctor, who has been shut down because of some discomfort from scar tissue, said it was a “relief” after meeting with a team doctor Sunday.

“He just reinforced everything we had talked about before,’’ said Proctor, who had elbow surgery in October. “He said it’s just inflamed. It’s not surprising. It’s something that was expected. He said I was probably trying to do too much (to get back), and that it was nothing to be alarmed about.

That is good news, but it does make one wonder about how many innings he can throw in the upcoming season without his elbow flaring up again. Maybe over time his elbow will become stronger and the scar tissue won't be a problem.  It has been a long time since I went to medical school.  So I really don't know if this could end up being a problem all season long.  (Okay, I've never went to medical school but I have seen television programs with actors playing doctors.)
