Scott Proctor improving

Scott Proctor's elbow is feeling better and he is ready to begin long-tossing.

Scott Proctor is supposed to throw long toss today as he tries to come back from discomfort in his right elbow. Proctor told me yesterday his elbow has continued to feel better each day and that he’s still confident about being available when the season starts April 6. Team doctors say the discomfort is related to the breaking up of scar tissue from surgery Proctor had in October to repair a torn flexor tendon.

That's good news but if you have ever followed a pitcher's injury, long-tossing is just the start.  When Proctor starts throwing off the mound again, then, we will have an idea of the time table until his return.

But you start where you start.
