Josh Johnson threw batting practice yesterday, much to the chagrin of the hitters.
Once again from Joe Frisaro's blog.
"Nasty," said Cody Ross, who had the unenviable task of facing Johnson. "The ball was cutting four or five inches at 95 mph." Marlins special assistant Jeff Conine joked with Johnson: "Way to help the [hitters] get dialed-in." --- The first foul ball was greeted with a, "Take that, Johnson!" from hitting coach Jim Presley. The second full day of workouts in Spring Training and the hitters are facing Johnson? I mean really, the hitters aren't ready for that. Are the coaches saving their arms for the season?
