The Texas Rangers are very interested in bringing Perry Hill on board since they fired most of their coaches.
...the Rangers are also believed to have interest in hiring Perry Hill. Considered one of the best fielding gurus in baseball, Hill has spent the past two years out of the game. He most recently worked with the Florida Marlins, was with the Rangers earlier in his career and lives in the Metroplex. Hill would give the Rangers two highly regarded infield instructors, along with Washington, while reducing Washington’s workload. The Rangers haven't contacted Hill as of yet and I have no idea whether he would do it, but Hill and Washington on the same team seems like overkill. If Perry wants to return to coaching and still be near his family, I wish him all the best. But, boy, we could sure use him now.
