Florida Marlins tie franchise home run record

The Florida Marlins are on the verge of setting a new franchise home run record for the third year in-a-row.

Josh Willingham's solo home run in the third inning Monday afternoon at Great American Ball Park was the 201st home run by the Marlins this season, equaling the franchise record established last season.

In 2006 the Marlins set the team home run record at 182.  Last year they eclipsed with 201 and this year's version of the team is looking to break that.

If everything holds true to form, there will be a new home run record for the Marlins.  Which is pretty impressive since the Fish play half of their games in a pitcher friendly park.
