Florida Marlins Three-peat in Home Attendance

For the third year in-a-row the Marlins finished the season dead last in home attendance.

We're Number 30!  We're Number 30!

Sunday's crowd of 28,173 pushed the Marlins season attendance to 1,335,076. Their average crowd of 16,688 for the 80 home dates, including one doubleheader, easily ranks last in the majors.

Last season's home attendance was 1,370,511 for an average of 16,920.  But take heart this team outdrew the 2006, 2003, 2002, 2001 and 2000 teams respectfully.

The Marlins really need a new stadium.

Whether a new stadium will help or not, we will see.  But it can't hurt.
