Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Braves at Marlins (9/2)

The Marlins are looking to continue their high pants winning ways.

Once again we have the same two pitchers squaring off in less than a week. The two starters faced each other on August 28.

Sanchez was all over the place in his last start. He gave up 5 walks and 5 hits in 5 innings. The strange thing about his outing was that he wasn't getting hurt until he gave up a 3-run home run in the fifth. It was far from Anibal's best outing and inconsistency is to be expected since he is returning from shoulder surgery. But all in all, he battled well without his best stuff.

Morton in his last start did his Cy Young impersonation, and did it quite well. For the first five innings the Marlins were able to only get one runner on base. The Marlins finally broke through in the sixth for a couple of runs. Morton being new to the majors is kinda all over the place, sometimes he throws a gem and other times a clunker. Here's wishing for a clunker.

Ichthyomancy is dreading the work week, but is keeping its fingers crossed that the new look for the Marlins is just the ticket. Best of Luck to You!
