Florida Marlins tentative schedule

If the Florida Marlins tentative schedule is any thing like it was for the 2008 season, this schedule is written in sand during the beginning of high tide.  In fact, the 2008 season magnetic schedule given out during Fan Fest was borderline useless.

Nonetheless, it does give an idea as to what will happen.

The season opens at home against the Nationals on April 6.  The longest road trip also happens in April when the Marlins travel to Atlanta, Washington and Pittsburgh for 11 days to play nine games.

The longest home stand is in June with eleven games against the Nationals, Giants and Cardinals.

The Marlins in interleague play will travel to Toronto, Boston and Tampa Bay.  The Fish will host the Yankees, Orioles and Tampa Bay.

The Marlins end the season on the road, of course.  They will play six games, three each, against the Braves and the Phillies.

The final game of the regular season is Sunday October 4.

I think I added everything correctly, but have been known to make mistakes.
