Hanley Ramirez NL Player of the Month

Hanley Ramirez took home the honors for NL Player of the Month for June.

Hanley Ramirez, who will find out Sunday whether he was voted onto the National League All-Star team as starting shortstop, was informed Wednesday that he had been named the NL Player of the Month for June -- the first Marlin to win the award since Jeff Conine got it in 1995.

''I don't feel happy for myself,'' Ramirez said. ``I feel happy for everybody.''

Ramirez hit .298 in June, with 10 home runs and seven stolen bases.

In case you are wondering, other Marlins players have won the Player of the Month but normally not in June.

Congrats Hanley!
