Alejandro De Aza is done for the season

Alejandro De Aza ended his season the way it started, on the DL.

Alejandro De Aza underwent season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle Friday. He initially sustained the injury when he collided with minor-leaguer John Raynor during the final exhibition against the Yankees at Dolphin Stadium before the start of the season. Last season, De Aza missed all but a fraction of the campaign with a right ankle sprain that ultimately was diagnosed as a fracture.

While I'm sure we all wish him the best, I can't help but thinking that he will find a way to win the starting center fielder position next year in spring training and find another way to spend the entire season in rehab.

The boy just can't catch a break......so to speak.
