The Marlins welcome the first place Mets to town. The Fish find themselves two games out of first and can do something about that in this three game series.
Nolasco's control wasn't the best in his last two starts. Historically, he doesn't do his best work against the Mets. But if he can spot his fastball and control his breaking stuff, he can shut them down with ease.
Maine, this month, has had problems with his control, in fact, he has walked 14 batters in his four July starts while giving up 4 home runs. Maine normally pitches well against Florida, for some reason. Perhaps we don't wait around for him to walk us. For the most part, Maine is a fastball, changeup pitcher. Expect to see the changeup on display, assuming he can get it over the plate.
