Mitre, who agreed to a $1.2 million contract and was penciled in as the No. 2 starter, will be arbitration-eligible for the second time after this season.
I guess it is possible the Marlins will re-sign him assuming the price is around the league minimum.
If not, Mitre will be rehabbing on his own in hopes of catching on with another club in the future. It's very unfortunate for Sergio, the timing couldn't be worse.
