Josh Johnson's start for the Mudcats went reasonably well last night.
Right-hander Josh Johnson (elbow) made a rehab start for Double-A Carolina Tuesday, going 5 1/3 innings. He gave up two earned runs on six hits, struck out four and allowed no walks.
There is more to the story. Johnson allowed 4 runs total though only two were earned. With is probably good practice, given how the Marlins defense is going, for when he returns.
The other thing is it took him 90+ pitches to get through 5 1/3 innings.
I guess what I'm saying is that he had a nice rehab outing but there is still a little work to be done.
