Josh Johnson will continue his rehab in Double-A. But you already knew that.
The comeback trail continues for pitcher Josh Johnson, who is the scheduled starter for Double A Carolina on Tuesday against Huntsville (Ala.).
If there are no glitches between now and then, Johnson should make about four more starts in the minors before being activated by the Marlins.
Don't be surprised if it takes a little longer than four starts for him to rejoin the team. Hopefully it won't, but setbacks are common when trying to recover from Tommy John surgery.
Johnson is young, big and strong so he may cruise through rehab. When he finally is back with the Marlins it will interesting to see if he is the same pitcher as before. In the normal a recovery he won't be, at least the rest of this year. However, the norms don't apply to everyone.
I wouldn't count on Johnson to lead the way, or at least, until he proves he can do it.
