Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Mariners (6/17)

Before we go into tonight's game, I have no idea why last night's open thread disappeared. I have searched all around the site and I can't find it. Very strange. (not that I can't find it, but that it disappeared)

Ain't technology grand.

Now to tonight, it is another edition of Midnight Baseball and I can't believe this game isn't going to be on television.

Olsen has only given up one earned run in his last 13 innings pitched. Unfortunately 6 runs have scored during those innings. With any luck, the defense may actually show up tonight and it needs to. This will be Olsen's first start against the Mariners. We are not on a full velocity watch, but it should be noted, when you can.

Hernandez is filthy nasty and has only allowed one unearned run in his last three starts, winning all three. The only good news I can find is that he is better on the road and lefties generally have more luck against him. Every now and then, and it doesn't happen often, he will leave pitches out over the plate.
