If you are going into withdrawals with no game today, just make your way to Jupiter to see a couple of the Marlins who will be rehabbing in Jupiter.
Right fielder Jeremy Hermida and catcher Mike Rabelo missed the Marlins' season opener because of injuries, but they are scheduled to play in the Class A Jupiter Hammerheads' opener tonight. Jupiter plays the Palm Beach Cardinals at 7:05 at Roger Dean Stadium. If all goes well, Hermida (tight left hamstring) could join the Marlins during their weekend series against Pittsburgh. Rabelo (left leg sprain) might not be ready until next week.
From the way I understand it, Hermida can play all the innings he feels able to and Rabelo will be limited to at most five innings behind the plate.
Jeremy Hermida will also play in Friday's game in Jupiter, while Mike Rabelo will likely sit it out. Which isn't bad for the Marlins since they need Hermida's bat back in the lineup more than they need Rabelo behind the plate.
In case you are wondering about which player will pay for the spread, and I can't imagine you are. If I had to guess, Hermida will cover Friday's and Saturday's and Rabelo will get the tab for the rest of his rehab.
