Dan Uggla is coming into his own

Dan Uggla got off to a slow start this season, but it appears he is returning to form.

Dan Uggla is showing signs of breaking out of his early-season slump.

Uggla, whose average was down to .167 after Friday's game, went 2-for-3 with a double and two walks Sunday to increase his average to .209. He also had a walk Saturday, giving him three in two days.

"Just taking a better two-strike approach," Uggla said. "Pitchers know I have a tendency to chase a lot of stuff outside the zone, so it's all about seeing a pitch and recognizing it earlier."

When Danny starts taking walks, it means he is seeing the ball better.  And when he sees the ball better, good things follow.  Sure there will be a bunch of strikeouts along the way, but there will also be a bunch of doubles and home runs.
