The Marlins traveling wardrobe ensembles are more upscale this season -- sort of.
The Marlins have made a change in their road dress code, and it showed Thursday when they prepared to fly to Houston. The new rule states every player must have at least a sports coat, but most of the Marlins looked dapper in new suits with ties. ''Our guys are taking it to the next level with the suits. You know what that says? It says they don't know how to match,'' Gonzalez joked.
While I'm not a big fan of "styling and profiling", I do have a suggestion for the players when selecting their traveling garb: Take your wife or girlfriend with you to help pick out your attire. Trust me, it will avoid many unnecessary future embarrassments.
