Luis Gonzalez has yet to sign with the Marlins.

OF Luis Gonzalez agreed to a one-year deal with the Marlins, and he will serve as a backup outfielder and first baseman. He deal will pay him $2 million with the chance for another $1 million in incentives.

The Marlins had not announced the deal as of Feb. 1, but Gonzalez said on Jan. 31, "As far as I'm concerned, it's a done deal."

A quick perusal of the Official Press Releases backs this up.

Hmm.  I can think of only three things that this could mean: one, Gonzo hasn't taken his physical yet. (very possible)  Two, the club just wanted to enjoy the weekend and haven't released it yet. (doubtful, this is the same organization that announced the Beckett and Lowell trade on Thanksgiving day)  Or three, there is something in the results of the physical that has the club concerned.

We will see.
