Pitchers announced

As Mbaamin reported in the Weekend Chum Bucket, pitchers have been announced for the game on Tuesday against UM and also the starter for the first game of the Grapefruit League.

First, the UM game.

Sunday, the Marlins settled on their pitchers for Tuesday's exhibition opener against the University of Miami at Roger Dean Stadium.

Non-roster invitee Bobby Keppel will open the game. Following him: Chris Seddon, Eulogio De La Cruz, Jesus Delgado, Taylor Tankersley and Lee Gardner. Every pitcher the Hurricanes will see with the exception of Delgado has major league experience.

Manager Fredi Gonzalez likely will give his 'A' lineup at least one at-bat before the Grapefruit League season gets underway Wednesday night against the Nationals at Roger Dean.

And the starter for Wednesday:

...Scott Olsen, last year's No. 2 starter, will start the Marlins' Grapefruit League opener against Washington at Roger Dean Stadium at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday.

The fact that Olsen's starting the Spring Training opener against the Nationals does not mean he will be the Marlins' Opening Day starter.

I bet he is.

To further Mbaamin's point, it is funny how some days you get the complete lineup of pitchers for a spring training game and on other days, you couldn't find it if your life depended on it.  The pitching lineup is known a day in advance, assuming injuries don't change it, but it is next to impossible to find.  Or at least it is for us mere fans.  Then again, maybe we just don't know the correct place to look.
