Puerto Rico maybe out of the picture

As Mbaamin reported in yesterday's Chum Bucket, the Puerto Rico series with the Mets may be off the table.

It doesn't look like transplanted Mets fans will be denied that three-game Dolphin Stadium series after all. Talks to move a July 28-30 series to San Juan's Hiram Bithorn Stadium have all but flatlined.

At FanFest two weekends ago, the Marlins did not sell individual-game tickets to that series because of the possible relocation. Team President David Samson said earlier this month the Marlins were in favor of taking part and doing their share to promote the game overseas.

The Marlins have not determined when tickets for the second of three Mets visits to South Florida would go on sale. ...

Thank goodness.  Playing a quick series in Puerto Rico is the last thing the Marlins need to be doing right now.
