Since yesterday, everyone is trying to get their story straight and this is what is being presented now.
The Marlins might host a three-game series in San Juan, Puerto Rico, this season, a baseball official confirmed. The idea, which died in December after brief discussion, is back on. The official said there was a 50-50 chance of the Marlins playing there. One series believed to be under consideration is against the New York Mets, July 28-30.
For this to happen. the Marlins will have to fly to Chicago for a four-game set with the Cubs. Then fly to Puerto Rico for three games with the Mets. Then fly back to Miami to play the Rockies. Take a day-off. Then fly to Philly for the start of a six-game road trip.
Hopefully, MLB and the two clubs will mess around long enough trying to plan the thing that the trip to Puerto Rico will never take place.
