It's Tuesday and the Chum Bucket is full swing.
The bowl games were announced and the most important one was the Texas Bowl where Rice will be playing Western Michigan on December 30. And Rice will definitely have their work cut out for them. (Okay, it is probably not the most important one, but I went to Rice, so sue me.)
But let's say you are more interested in the games closer to home and you want to do the groupie thing, here are the hotels you need to hangout at.
Broward is expected to benefit this year because not only is the media headquarters hotel the Marriott Harbor Beach in Fort Lauderdale, but Virginia Tech and Florida are to stay at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood. Virginia Tech will practice at Nova Southeastern University; Florida at American Heritage in Plantation. Cincinnati and Oklahoma will stay at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach and practice at Barry University.
If you are the wagering type of person, bet on Florida and Virginia Tech. Staying at Miami Beach doesn't bode well for either Oklahoma or Cincinnati. Just too much fun to be had there.
But enough about that, the Winter Meetings are kicking into gear and I finally found my XM Radio, so we have Marlins things to discuss. But since this a Chum Bucket it is an open forum, so if you would rather discuss something else, have at it.
