Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy

Once again the Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy is holding their holiday camps.

The Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy will have two weeks of holiday baseball camps at Roger Dean Stadium. The weeks are Dec. 22-25 and Dec. 29 to Jan. 2.

Special guests the first week will be Florida Marlins pitcher Joe Nelson and coach Mark Wiley. Marlins pitcher Chris Volstad will be the special guest the second week.

The camp is open to youngsters between 5 and 14 years old. Players are grouped by age and ability levels. Lunch is included. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

I'm guessing the one that runs through Christmas Day will be the least attended but then again, maybe the parents of the youngsters would rather drive them to camp on Dec. 25 to avoid getting up early on Jan. 2.  Though call.

I'm sure I don't need to point out that Joe Nelson is no longer with the Marlins, but really that doesn't matter.  What is important is where else can a youngster learn the vulcan grip?  No where, I'm guessing.
