The Marlins are kicking-back and taking a break from the trading activity for the holidays, or so they say.
"It will probably be quiet from here through the holidays. Basically, we're the same as everybody else. We'll go home, do our paperwork [Friday] and spend next week in the office, cleaning up and following up." -- Beinfest
Yeah, right. I remember in 2005 I went to Thanksgiving dinner with the family only to learn that when I got home the Marlins had traded Josh Beckett and Mikey Lowell earlier in the evening. When it comes to moving players, the holidays mean nothing to the front office and they won't this time if they think they can get right deal.
I've seen this before and I'm not buying the story.
