Florida Marlins add 4 names to the 40-man roster

The Florida Marlins made some roster moves and added 4 players to the 40-man roster.

The Marlins added four players to their 40-man roster on Thursday, selecting the contract of catcher Brett Hayes, as well as right-handed pitchers Chris Leroux, Dallas Trahern and Tim Wood, it was announced by Larry Beinfest, president of baseball operations.

When Rabelo either clears waivers or is claimed by another team, one more name will added to the roster, I'm guessing.

The reason for the adding the minor leaguers is to protect them from being claimed in the Rule 5 draft.

This being Friday, I'm not going to breakdown my opinion of the players put on the roster and the ones left off.  Also, I will explain the Rule 5 draft later on.

The Rule 5 draft takes place on December 11, the last day of the Winter Meetings.

More to come.

However, if you have an opinion about the minor leaguers, feel free to voice it in the comments.
